Why We’re Fighting
So Like, What’s
Even Happening?
TL;DR: A new law will make THC beverages (like Cann) illegal starting November 12, 2026.
But there is a real legislative effort underway that would legalize and regulate products like Cann with age checks, lab testing, and honest labels.
This would eliminate the bad actors Congress was targeting with the ban in the first place, while keeping responsible players like Cann in business.
We're not asking Congress to look the other way. We're asking them to regulate instead of prohibit.

Hello,
My name is [NAME], and I live in your district in the town of [NAME]. I’m calling to ask that Representative [NAME] support the Senate-passed language in the Continuing Resolution that would delay the federal ban on hemp-derived THC products from November 12 to December 11, 2026.
- Without this fix, lose-dose hemp beverages will be banned next month.
- This short delay gives Congress the time it needs to pass a real, long-term solution.
- I support regulation, not prohibition.
I ask Representative [NAME] to support keeping this industry legal while Congress works on a permanent solution. I look forward to viewing your voting record ahead of the midterm elections later this year.
Thank you for your time and consideration on this issue.
Who We’re Fighting For
Real people. Not actors. Okay fine, three are actors, but we didn’t pay them to do this, they genuinely just love Cann.
What Smart
Regulation Looks Like
5 Things To Know About the Rules That Could Stop the Ban on Cann
- Age 21+ ID Checks. (As you’re probably well aware, we already do this) Anyone buying a THC drink will have to show a valid government-issued photo ID. No exceptions. Sellers who skip this will face a monetary fine.
- Clear Labeling. (The ingredients you say are in a product, and ONLY the ingredients you say are in a product, should be in that product) Every product must clearly show the exact milligrams of THC per serving and per package, right on the front. Plus a surgeon general warning, like alcohol.
- USA-Only Manufacturing. (Let’s keep our farmers in business) THC beverages must be grown, processed, and packaged entirely in the United States. No foreign-sourced products allowed. Protects domestic farmers and supply chain. Of course, we already do this as well.
- Excise Taxes. (Everything has a price) A small tax (e.g. $.05 per mg) that the manufacturer pays before the drink ever reaches the shelves (aka it's built into the price you pay) that would go towards highway safety, to help catch impaired drivers.
- Safe Supply Chain. (We’re already obsessed with keeping you safe, it can’t hurt to have the FDA obsess over it too) Licensed distribution through a regulated supply chain ensures accountability at every single step from farm to fridge.
